New term, New students and New Classes……..
As we gear up for the beginning of term, we have some exciting news from the Crews trip to Las Vegas.
The uys had an amazing time, meeting other fellow dancers and of course flying the flag for the UK. The performance was amazing and they did so well performing in an arena of over 400+ people. The guys did so well and came 22nd in the junior category.
A big well done to them and all the other crews that performed, all the hard work paid off…..Now back to training for more competitions

Hip Hop Academy
We will be starting Hip Hop Academy in October, the class is aimed at training our pupils in different genres of dance that include: breaking, Hip Hop, crumping & more….check out the Hip Hop academy page for more info.
We have joined forces with Gambados and will be running toddler ballet and street dance classes at GAMBADOS BECKENHAM from Thursday 13th October 2016.
All pupils of our classes will gain free access to the soft play after classes (t’s & c’s apply, check out our timetable page for more info about times of our classes.
The Green Nunhead
We will be starting our morning Twinkly Toes and Mini Movers classes in a new location in Nunhead from the Friday 16th September. Check our timetable page for times.
Happy Holidays, GDND Crew are off to Las Vegas in a week to compete in the World hip hop international championships. This is the part where all the hard work and training really pays off.
Thanks to everyone who has enables us to perform and raise the money to get our GDND Crew to Las Vegas, this will be a life changing experience for all the kids and GDND. Look out for live updates of they’re progress and fun while they are in the USA!!!!
We wish them all the luck of the world and know they will make the UK and more importantly South East London PROUD!!
Has your child dreamt about meeting Spiderman or Iron Man?…Well, here is there chance to do just that and more!
“Dance with a Superhero” is a morning dance session for children between 4-7 years old to come and do just that! They will be amazed by the cool Hip Hop, Street and break dancing moves the surprise superhero will show them, and of course they will be able to learn how to dance like a HERO.
Date: Friday 2nd September
Time: 09.30am – 11.00am and costs just £9.00 per child

Saturday 21st June, GDND crew performed in the Red Cross ‘Make your move’ competition. unfortunately this year they did not win, how ever the crew dance well and are now preparing for the UDO dance competition on July 13th.
Its almost here ! Charlie and the chocolate factory workshop… It starts next week, 5 days of singing, dancing and acting, plus meeting a guest west end performer… How better to spend a week of the LONG 2 week Easter holidays??? We have a few spaces left! Email us: email@example.com to book a space.

Our Friday morning Toddler classes moved to the fab new venue, The Ivy house pub http://www.ivyhousenunhead.com We have Twinkly toes Ballet from 9.50-10.25 and Mini Moves Street dance from 10.35-11.10am. The first class is free, so you have a chance to see if the class will be something your child enjoys.
The little disco company – https://www.facebook.com/thelittlediscocompany Miss Danni took a Saturday evening trip down Dulwich Village to show the 6-11′s some new moves! Fabulous evening, of dancing to YMCA, Will.i.am, and many more tunes! Face paints, laser lights and glitter tattoos were also a highlight. All in all a successful evening out for all the children who attended.

GDND Academy’s 10 year anniversary show took place on Saturday 21st December ! It was a FAB show even if I do say so myself!! Thanks to Lorraine Harriott (St James teacher) and Olu Alatise (Project G) for being fantastic GDND’S got talent judges! The children were fantastic on stage and made me (Miss Danni) and all of the GDND teachers feel like proud parents to them all ! Thanks to all the parents & family who came along to support their children and GDND Academy.
IDTA Street dance exams take place on Saturday 26th October, good luck to all pupils taking part this term!

New teachers! I am very happy to have ‘Leticia Simpson’ on board, as one of our Street dance teachers. She’s a very well accomplished professional dancer, having been a backing dancer for Kelly Rowland as well as many more exciting achievements under her belt.
Prisca Pugnatti is our new Ballet teacher. Prisca received a BA (Hons) at The Northern School of contemporary dance, and has been working as a dancer and teaching ever since. Lovely to have you on board Prisca!
GDND Academy work on a project with Lewisham homes:
GDND Academy started the Project ‘Love to dance’ with Lewisham Homes, inviting young people from the Lewisham borough to be involved in performances at Lewisham shopping centre celebrating Black history month on 12/10/13, and a performance during a Millwall football match half time break on 2/11/13! Exciting stuff for the 12-18′s. Miss Danni and Miss Katy are both teaching them for the next 3 months to get them prepared! Our exciting Matilda work shop took place at the Goose Green centre in August! Over the 4 days from 10-3 pm the talented children learned some of the script, songs and dance routines from the Matilda musical. GDND Academy hosted our ‘Micheal Jackson showcase’ at JAGS school theatre on July 20th. The show went down a storm, and the children had a fantastic time performing to the various Micheal Jackson and Jackson 5 classics! Project G and Real talk crew were our guest Street dance acts, they were amazing, and they certainly inspired all of our young performers!
GDND Jr’s performed at Bermondsey festival at Southwark park on Saturday 6th July, it was a great day with many performances from local dance, music and drama schools.
GDND Jr’s took part in the Red Cross ’Make your move’ dance competition at the Mick Jagger centre, they won the heat and made it through to the London Semi finals at The Greenwood theatre London bridge. The semi-finals is where their journey ended this year, but a BIG well done to the Jr’s for making it as far as they did!

Our Dulwich classes took to the stage at Dulwich festival in May and did a smashing job.
The South London press were there to review the days events, and Miss Danni’s daughter, Amira, who also attends the Twinkly Toes Ballet class, and was snapped in 5th position!
