GDND Academy Terms and Conditions

We operate an automatic re-booking system. If a parent/carer wishes to change venue, class, day or time, they must notify the office in writing by email or by post three (3) weeks before the start of a new half term. If a parent wishes to re-register a child in a new half term they can only do so if there is a space available.

If a child is unable to continue classes, the parent/carer must notify the office formally in writing by email or by post (and not the teacher), three (3) weeks before the start of the new term. If you fail to do so, you will need to pay a cancellation fee of 30% of the half term fee invoiced. If your child attends any class in the half term, even once you will be charged as per invoiced for the full half term.

A fee is charged for each class enrolled per half term. Pupils are expected to attend all classes where possible and an invoice will be raised for the for the whole half term. Fees will only be pro rata when a pupil starts during half term. An invoice will be issued for immediate payment after the 3-week trail period is complete, which will also include the cost of the GDND ACADEMY compulsory t-shirt.

Fees are payable in advance and no later that the first class of each new term. Please notify us in writing of exceptional circumstances.

The Academy charges a late payment fee of 10% if an invoice remains unpaid after the first class of a new term. If your child turns up to class with the fee unpaid on week 2, you will automatically receive a 10% late charge added to your invoice, thereafter 5% will be added each week the invoice remains unpaid. Please note: Your child will not be permitted to attend on week 3 of any term if fees have not been paid in full. GDND staff are not permitted to allow attendance if fees are not paid.

Sibling discounts only apply to payments made at the start of a new term, not for the 3-week trails or mid-term payments.

Where more than two siblings attend classes with the Academy, the youngest sibling will receive a 10% sibling discount on all classes. The discount will commence at the start of the next term providing at least two siblings are still present. The discount will be reversed if payment is not received. In the event the eldest sibling(s) leaves during a term, the discount will not apply at the start of the next if only one sibling remains. Discounts are only offered at the discretion of GDND.

Pupils are given the opportunity to have one free taster. Thereafter the pupil has the option to register for a 3-week trial. Payment for the remainder of the term must be made in full prior to starting term classes, inclusive of the GDND ACADEMY compulsory t-shirt.

All pupils signing up for any half term after a 3-week trial will be invoiced for a GDND ACADEMY t-shirt which will then be worn as class uniform for the interim. After attending for any half term period, full uniform is required for your child which will be the Ballet kit and/or Street dance kit.

Refunds are only given in exceptional circumstances.  There are no refunds when a child leaves mid-term. Non attendance due to adverse weather conditions, long periods of absences for illnesses or holidays will not be refunded.  Fees for the 3-week trials are NOT refundable and must run for 3 consecutive weeks.

The fees are also non-transferable between classes, and non-refundable for any absence. In the case of cancellation of an activity, class or venue, due to unforeseen circumstances, GDND will endeavour to re-arrange this, and if not, will reimburse the parent by making a deduction from the next invoice in the following half term.
